Clear Talents in Recruitment – 18th April 2016

New Features/Enhancements

1. Update to initial candidate stage

When an individual creates a profile using a vacancy specific URL, their initial stage will now be set to “Application”. This means that when an administrator views the report, they do not need to set a stage before they can view the report. This will reduce the number of clicks it takes to view a candidate report.

2. Changes to the way the candidate report page works for Organisation and Division Administrators

In order to capture audit information related to the application of requested reasonable adjustments and enable more useful reporting of this, the report page that is displayed to Organisation and Division administrators when viewing a candidate report has been enhanced in a number of ways. These are shown in the screenshot below.

Clicking on the stage area (1) will allow you to see any areas where the candidate has requested a reasonable adjustment for the current application stage. This will appear similar to that shown below. Click on any of the dark blue icons to see the requested adjustments.

The area indicated with (2) allows comments and progress information to be stored in the candidate’s profile.

Once all of the requested adjustments have been met for the current stage, the button in the area (3) will log this to the candidate’s profile. In that situation, the checkbox in the area indicated (4) to confirm the adjustments will disappear as will the confirm reasonable adjustments button as shown below:

The button in the area (4) enables you to progress the candidate to a future stage in the process.  If you have not already confirmed that the adjustments have been met, you can do so at the same time by checking the checkbox.  If you do not check this box, you will be asked to confirm that you are OK to move the candidate to the next stage without meeting all of the requested adjustments.  If you do not want to do this, then you can simply cancel.

Clicking the Change Stage Anyway button will result in this being logged in a way similar to that shown below.

As the candidate progresses through application stages, an audit trail will be built up of all of the activities that have been undertaken and adjustments being made.

3. Enabling custom text on the candidate profile completion page.

The final page that a candidate sees when they complete their Clear Talents profile for a specific vacancy has been enhanced to include text which is specific for an organisation or and individual vacancy.

The following text will always be displayed on this page:

“Congratulations you have reached the end of the ClearTalents™ questionnaire.

A report has been generated for your prospective employers so they can assist you during the application and recruitment process. Click here if you’d like to view a summary of your report. The version the recruiter will see will also include recommendations on reasonable adjustments they should consider making for you at each stage of your application”.

By default, the following paragraph will also be displayed, but this can now be customised either at an organisational level or an individual vacancy level.

“If you want to make changes and add information to your profile, you can log in at www.cleartalents.com at any time using your email address and password that you created.  If you have finished for now, you can log out using the My Account menu above.”

In order to customise this at an organisational level, a new edit box has been added to the “edit organisation” page which is available to Organisation Administrators.  This is illustrated in the screen capture below.

It is also possible to customise this text for individual vacancies on the vacancy creation or editing page as illustrated in the screen capture below.  This is available to both Organisation Administrators and Division Administrators.  The screen capture also illustrates the use of text formatting where required.  Note that this should be used sparingly to ensure the page readability is not lost.

The custom text is applied using the following rule hierarchy:

  1. if it exists, then custom text for this specific vacancy will be displayed.
  2. if there is no custom text for the vacancy, then organisation level custom text will be displayed
  3. if neither vacancy or organisation level custom text exists, then the default Clear Talent text will be displayed.

The final page will look like the page below where the custom text has been highlighted in yellow.
