There is a clear responsibility for employers to provide accommodations for those with a disability in the workplace. Whilst there are no direct funding schemes to assist in this area, there is useful advice on the Your Europe site, along with an assistance service finder.
Here are some common accommodations:
- an expert assessment of their needs
- Any specialist equipment they may require to do their job and perform at their best.
- travel to an interview when a candidate can’t use public transport
- a support person for certain tasks
Please see the individual’s report for more specific, tailored accommodations.
