Easy Read is taking text and reducing it down to its essence – stripping out all non-essential words (sentences should be no more than 10-15 words) and replacing harder phrases with simpler words (e.g., ‘with regards to’ goes to ‘about’). Easy Read documents should be in larger text (14pt) and have images to reinforce the meaning of the text wherever possible.
